I am a bodyman by trade and i would suggest a two part bumper repair filler to keep it from cracking in a accidental drop or cold weather. Spend a few grand on the right tooling, make a halfway decent magazine such as those for a Marlin , and bam, you will have an excellent rifle. Oh, and in the unlikely event that I screw it up, I can order a new stock from Savage. I have the wooden stock and love it, very solid, good looking rifle. JavaScript is disabled.
