Posted: Nov 10, I have a Sceptre 32inch LCD TV which after being turned on shows the Sceptre logo on the screen and then turns blue stating no signal on the screen. The tv does not have sound or picture. I was wondering if it was the power supply or the mainboard which is causing the problem. Anytime I press any button on the remote the tv just shuts off buttons on the tv do not respond at all.

Try a different electric outlet. Try a new power cord. Sometimes with bad signals the picture will fail but the audio will still be present. Check if the video cable wire is loose. Check if the video cable itself is bad. Check the source of the video a dvd player or cable box or game console to see if that has problems. Try the source of the video with another TV if possible. If it does not work then it tells you the problem lies with the device.

Does the power indicator light change colour when you go to turn the TV on? Try a known to be working HDMI cable to see if that helps. The power supply must be working as the logo and blue screen and message are appearing. Try turning the TV off, unplugging the power for 10 minutes then plugging it back in.
