The story takes place in a seemingly civilized, massive underground community. The Silo, as its people refer to it, is the only place where it is safe from humans to exist following a rebellious uprising that wiped clean every book and hard drive created before the war. A humble, good-hearted Sheriff decides to leave the Silo, which can be done by anyone who announces their desire to leave, to track down his wife, who had left after discovering some of the Silo's deepest secrets. Early reviews of Silo draw comparisons to other popular dystopian narratives and, in some ways, reimagines The Matrix's best storytelling trick. However, by the end of the first two episodes of Silo, some of its initial mysteries are given direction, while many questions still need answers. The biggest revelation by the end of episode 2, "Holston's Pick," is that the Silo might not be the sanctuary that its people believe it is.
