The Quest takes the form of skyrim resonance gem trials in the Dwarven ruin of Kagrumez. The trials are initated by placing Kagrumez Resonance Gems into a console in the middle of the room.

Kagrumez is a small Dwarven ruin south of the Temple of Miraak. A large tent contains the corpse of the conjurer Raleth Eldri and his knapsack. It seems he was so interested in studying Dwemer ruins and their attendant dangers that he failed to account for the more mundane threat of bandits: he was killed by the reavers who now occupy the ruin, one of whom carries his research notes. The nearby stairs lead down to the lift which descends into the ruin, with a Dwarven chest in the rubble to the west behind the lift. The lift leads to a chamber lined with large shelves holding miscellaneous Dwemer items. A Dwarven chest is under one of the shelves, and two destroyed Dwarven spiders are on the ground nearby.

Activate the lever and a wall slides down revealing a Dwarven Spider. The alcove to the south can be reached by using the Whirlwind Sprint shout from the balcony above the chamber. The alcoves to the northeast and northwest can be reached by using Whirlwind Sprint from the balcony to a pipe in the center of the chamber, skyrim resonance gem, then using Whirlwind Sprint from there to the northeast alcove.

A total of five Kagrumez's Resonance Gems can be found in various locations. You only need four, and two of them are located within Kagrumez itself, carried by the leader of the reavers there. One more can be found in a chamber in the upper northeast corner of Nchardak aqueduct picture. It is small and lying out in the open so beware of sending it flying when fighting the ballista guarding it. A second can be found near the Visage of Mzund in Fahlbtharz pictured. A third is sold by Revus Sarvani , who is attending the silt strider just west of Tel Mithryn. If he dies, then it can be found on his body, unless his body has been removed; it may also be pickpocketed from him.

The Dragonborn DLC was something of a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, it has some of the best dungeon design in Skyrim. On the other, there was a distinct lack of lore and story put into a majority of the dungeons. The idea behind the Kagrumez Resonance Gems is great. Have the player travel to different dungeons, collecting gems like Infinity Stones until they have them all together, allowing them to access a legendary piece of gear. While the adventure is fun, and the Kagrumez dungeon itself is great, the gear waiting for you at the end of it all is nothing more than a glorified paperweight.

Take the Kagrumez Resonance Gems and read the notes. Several reavers occupy the chamber. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages. The wall appears again.
