Released in by Monomi Park, Slime Rancher is a farming simulator that has enjoyed immense success on various platforms. It's full of cute creatures, and interacting with the vast world is immensely satisfying. No game is complete without some form of challenge, but the Tarr Slime differ from feral slimes in that they cannot be appeased, are ragingly vicious and won't stop until they eat everything in sight, including you. A Tarr invasion on your ranch is a literal nightmare and can rapidly devour all your hard work, so knowing where they come from and how to get rid of them is important. Tarr Slimes form very easily. When slimes eat, they produce plorps, which can be fed to other slimes to make Largo Slimes. These are large slimes that exhibit traits of two slimes, produce two different types of plorps, and can't be sucked up by the Vacpack, although they can still be carted around by it. If a Largo Slime eats a second plorp that doesn't match the ones they produce, they turn into Tarr Slimes. Since slimes will happily eat plorps that don't match the ones they produce, it's easy for a Tarr outbreak to occur. Once they form, Tarr can be very dangerous. They're black with psychedelic colors swirling through them, highly aggressive and will eat anything not nailed down. Worse, they reproduce as they eat, meaning players can find themselves surrounded if they aren't careful. Fortunately, there are some cues to alert you that one has formed.
