Gemma convinced Tara to give her John's original letters, and she told Jax about John's suspicions that Clay would kill him. Clay breaks down and sobs to Gemma as she tries to encourage him that they can still fix things. The pair look out the window whilst talking, right on time, backup arrives in the form of a small army of Sons from other charters. Lowell begs for Clay to kill him. This makes Piney the 3rd member of the First 9, and the 2nd and final co-founding member of the Sons of Anarchy to be killed at the hands of Clay as Piney and John Teller co-founded the club, which were both ultimately killed by Clay. Clay drives the van into the tank, blowing up the house. One of his victims was Lowell Harland, Sr. Clay eventually died alone, at the hands of his own club after his years of betrayals and vicious acts finally caught up to him. Clay states that Damon Pope is the one who hired the Nomads. Later on, Jax is taken aside by Clay. Clay explains they are Mayan bodies, if they get ID'd it could bring heat back to the club.
