There are plenty of exciting events to face in Terraria. From the pre-Hardmode Goblin Army to the seasonal and themed events in Hardmode, there's a lot to test your battle prowess against for coins and loot. Many of them show up randomly or once you meet certain requirements, but you'll often want to farm them for specific loot, or just for how lucrative they can be. One of these events is the Solar Eclipse, and it contains a variety of great items like weapons, wings, and some handy accessories. If you want to farm it and its' loot, you'll need plenty of Solar Tablets. If you want to get your hands on a Solar Tablet, you'll first need to be in Hardmode , and you'll also need to have beaten Plantera , and obtained the Jungle Temple Key from her. If you meet all those requirements, head over to the Jungle and go down underground to the Jungle Temple.

A Solar Eclipse is a Hardmode event that occurs rarely after at least one mechanical boss has been defeated. The event lasts for one entire day, from sunrise to sunset, regardless of the number of enemies that have been killed. The moon is visible in front of the sun, causing the ambient light level to drop to below-nighttime levels, as well as sleeping not advancing time, similar to a Blood Moon.
