Southern storm touch football

I held a Queensland Primary School record for high jump and represented Queensland at Under 12s cricket. I was a representative rugby league player for the Dalby region. I stopped playing in at the age of 23, having incurring a knee ligament injury. After finishing playing league in Brisbane, I started putting on weight, and looked around for a southern storm touch football which might enable me to keep fit.

Rachel has been playing Touch Football since the age of 10, making her first representative debut in year seven for her district and then making the U12 Met West team. At that carnival she was selected for the U12 Queensland team as a shadow. From here, her playing career took off making many more district, regional and state teams throughout secondary school. The team were successful in winning The World Cup at this event. Over the 12 years of playing at this level there were many premierships and players awards. She was also a dedicated Brisbane City Cobras player racking up over 10 years at the National Touch League competition and also winning a Player of the Final award in Rachel started her coaching role, after many years of top level playing experience, when she completed her teaching degree and started working at Stretton in as the Gowan Physical Education teacher. She has also coached the Girls U12 Sunnybank District team from where she took out 3 wins and a runners-up over the 4 years.
