The kitchen is ceramic tile flooring with grout and it seems constantly in need of sweeping and wiping down as they make a sport of spilling food and drink all over it at every meal. The rest of the house is hardwood except for our rec room which is not-so-conveniently carpeted wall to wall in light coloured carpet.
