Steele road As with many of the stations on the southern section of the Waverley route, Steele Road did not serve any sizable community, relying on both passenger and goods traffic from isolated farms and houses.

This was a two platform station on the 'The Steele', the southern slopes of Arnton Fell. The small village here was entirely associated with the station.
