Hayata is a decent, small sushi restaurant very close to Honmachi Station.

I searched far and wide for some of the best spots, but it turns out some of the best sushi I've ever had was right around the corner from my hotel. I went during their lunch hour at the start of the day. The restaurant is decent-sized, featuring two large tables, light wood color schemes, and multiple counter-seats. Their English menu offers a handful of omakase options, while the Japanese menu provides both omakase and a la carte options. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and by the end of my meal, the chefs had gained a new friend. I got their "special" selection, which included 11 pieces and a roll. I re-ordered the Unagi and Chu-Toro twice during my first lunch there.

The tiny food bar only accommodates around 12 people at a time, so be prepared to squeeze your way down. Everything here is extremely fresh and delicious. Happy Eating!
