These buffs are a huge help, especially at the current max level in SoD.

I ran the beach from east to west once, killing Torn Fin Murlocs exclusively, and was rewarded with enough Tangy Clam Meat to take my cooking skill from - I would say 7 out of 10 mobs drop these and they also drop 1 silver or more so for low lvls it's not even a bad place.
