When you stop and the about it the most resistance in bending will be in the middle, thus this is more likely to happen. Mine is a Tapco Black Max , very heavy duty , always has been inside and mounted down, taken good care or and yet it will do it. But normally it is standard to just run your fingers along the edge to finesse it back if needed. Just tuned my brake a few weeks ago and it will still do it to some extent.

My old one was a Tapco "windy" 12'6" long. It was a good brake, it was probly about 14 years old or so when I got rid of it.
