Taurus offered a gun more similar to, say, taurus g2c, Glocks and Taurus g2c at a much cheaper price point. Taurus is a company known for its budget offerings, and the Taurus Millennium G2 is no exception. The gun was introduced in and was designed to be marketed towards concealed carriers and law enforcement officers looking for an affordable backup weapon to carry off duty. With its compact size, this gun is well suited for concealed carry.

Last year, we noticed a strange but undeniable trend. Somehow, despite all the odds and options, the older Taurus G2c semi-auto 9mm pistol consistently landed as one of the best-selling guns on Guns. Fortunately, I also happen to be a fan of the G2c, so I had one in my personal collection. But as a budget gun, I never really babied my G2c. In this case, the Taurus G2c not only functioned at percent on the range, but it also chewed threw some ammo that gave a few other test guns consistent issues. When I say I shot this gun dirty, I do mean over months without cleaning and mostly with just the most affordable reloads and other cheap 9mm I could get my hands on. I was not surprised that it worked and worked well.

A firearm is a big and important purchase. I must admit that when I discovered the retail price of the gun I was, at once, surprised and more than a little suspicious of the quality of a handgun that cheap. However, seeing is believing, and my instinct was that there is a lot of value in the G2C. There are several things I love about the ergonomics of this gun. First, my hand fits comfortably around the grip and the finger rests are convenient. I also appreciate the aggressive stippling which only appears on the portions of the grip that are most beneficial for locking the gun into your hand. I had no such trouble with the G2C magazine, which ejected quickly with plenty of force. The deep and somewhat sharp slide cutouts made it easy to grasp the slide and it felt easy to pull back.
