The council has been under Conservative majority control since The first election to the council was held in , initially acting as a shadow authority alongside the outgoing authorities until the new arrangements took effect on 1 April

Test Valley is fortunate not only to have the longest river in Hampshire, beautiful countryside and a host of charming villages, but also miles of rights of way and fantastic open spaces to explore.
