The game follows Joel , a hardened survivor, and Ellie , a teenage girl, in their journey across post-apocalyptic America. The game's score is being done by Oscar award-winner, Gustavo Santaolalla. He is best known for winning back-to-back Oscar awards for Best Score as a result of his work on the films Brokeback Mountain and Babel in and respectively. The additional content takes place both before and during the events of the main game, showing Ellie caring for a wounded Joel and sneaking out of military school for a memorable night with her former friend.
