Before booking your wedding ceremony or reception at Perth Zoo, please read the following useful information. Outdoor weddings carry an element of risk due to factors beyond our control, such as weather. Although we will endeavour to find the most appropriate alternate venue in the event of rain, options are limited and subject to availability. If you have booked your ceremony and reception with us, your guests are very welcome to wander the Zoo grounds between events until 5pm when they will need to gather at the reception venue. Additional decor may be brought into the Zoo provided the wedding coordinator is advised 30 days prior to your event and as long as all Perth Zoo standard regulations are abided by. Balloons, rice and confetti cannot be used inside Perth Zoo. Please note, coordinated delivery times will apply. A private viewing of our venue is available by appointment with our Wedding Coordinators. Once confirmed, you are welcome to access the Zoo with your bridal party for one wedding rehearsal, by appointment.

The Maali offers unique event spaces with four spacious function rooms, bathed in natural light and showcasing a calming neutral colour scheme. Immerse yourself in these spaces surrounded by Australian-inspired gardens, with a central elevated wooden deck providing a vantage point to appreciate the Moringa tree and the Kimberley Sandstone. The Maali stands as your ultimate destination for hosting truly exceptional and unique events. Our versatile event spaces cater to both intimate gatherings starting from 15 people in our boardrooms, as well as more formal affairs for up to people. The facilities will open in Spring, coinciding with the launch of the new playground and the Zoo's th birthday celebrations. Customers can enjoy a sit-down meal at 'Habitat' overlooking the playground or purchase a convenient bite from takeaway outlet, 'Wag Tails'. The food offerings will be complemented by a new coffee and wine bar, 'Distill and Brew'. The centrepiece of the development is the new function and events centre, 'The Maali', which is the Noongar word for Black Swan. It will have its own entrance on Labouchere Road and provide a stunning setting for weddings, corporate events and more.
