When he dons an ancient Norse mask, the mask ou regarder, perennial looser Stanley Ipkiss moves at warp speed, knows people's every desire and can satisfy every whim, and dances like Fred Astaire, Barishnikov and Gumby combined.

The first season of Mask Singer premiered 8 November The fourth season started to air on August 23, , on a weekly prime-time format. The fifth season began on April 14, A group of celebrities compete anonymously on stage, singing in full costumes over a series of episodes. From each face-off, the panelists and live audience vote: the winner's safe for the week, while the loser is put up for elimination. At the end of the episode, the face-off's losers are then subjected to new votes of the panelists to determine who will not continue. In addition to the singing competition, hints to each masked singer's identity are offered during the show.

When timid bank clerk Stanley Ipkiss discovers a magical mask containing the spirit of the Norse god Loki, his entire life changes. While wearing the mask, Ipkiss becomes a supernatural playboy exuding charm and confidence which allows him to catch the eye of local nightclub singer Tina Carlyle. Unfortunately, under the mask's influence, Ipkiss also robs a bank, which angers junior crime lord Dorian Tyrell, whose goons get blamed for the heist.
