We see these posts and do these things almost on auto-pilot without thinking much of it and then we keep scrolling to the next one and the next one. Not in a like the self-diagnosing videos on TikTok kind of way, but in the way that it gives insight into how somebody is potentially feeling. See if you do these things you are not non-typical, because most people respond in this way.

My mom was my first and best friend. I knew I would be heartbroken when she passed away. But I was still not prepared for the intensity of the grief when the time actually came. For the first six months after she died, I spent most of my time fighting back my tears, exhausting myself in the process. Then, I was asked to sing at the funeral of another mother. At the service, her young adult son Jordan stood to speak. It is my honour to cry for her.
