I frequently order takeout or sit at the normal tables and never have an issue. I will say they are knowledgeable when it comes to knowing Gluten free. My waiter asked if it was an allergy or preference. However my GF hibachi chicken had no flavor at all. It looked like there would have been flavor but there just was none. All I could taste was eggs when having my rice. My family and I came to Tomo for Hibachi. I explained to the waitress that I have a gluten allergy and was gluten free. They prepared me my own plate separately in the kitchen.
