Ms Goossens said the loss in freight productivity from closures was also concerning for a farming community. According to the RAA, the Dukes Highway carries around 4, vehicles each day, including 2, commercial vehicles and b-double trucks. The state government spokesperson said the Department for Infrastructure and Transport was also working on a business case for its proposed High Productivity Vehicle Network Project. The proposal will include freight highways across the state and will analyse a possible duplication of the Dukes Highway.
