Been looking at importing a car for a while now was between an evo or impreza type r. One thing that's putting me off the type r is the engine are they as unreliable as what people say especially when mildly modified? Also what sort of power can be expected from a remap, exhaust etc would like something around similar power to my brothers evo 6.

Most of which are what you think of when you hear RA, no electronics, vent in the roof. However I just saw a 98 "RA" with a stereo and power everything, solid roof, no vent.
