Apparently I have an ugly house since no one seems to want to buy it. We did have one little nibble this week after one year with nothing of someone who was interested in making an offer if we'd dig out the foundation and place rubber around it or some crazy thing. Which, sure as heck I'd do, but they never actually made the offer. Anyway, I'm desperate to sell, and am considering calling these people since normal people are not interested. They are a franchise based in Texas.

I wonder if anyone has any recommendations for a decent pair of slippers that are not too "grannyish"! I would like some that are robust because I do pop outside in them and have been known to do a bit of gardening in them and I want them to stay on well i. Hopefully some that do not get too big over time either. I hate slippers, I think they can be quite dangerous to people as we age, much better to have a comfortable pair of well fitting light weight shoes. I've got a pair of Hotter shoes that I wear in the house, they are easy to slip on and off and robust enough to go out into the garden. I use Skechers GoWalk canvas slip on trainers. Robust, good sole and machine washable. I have these. I love my Totes slippers but they are not robust enough for the garden. Maybe get some comfy Hotters that you can wear for both the house and the garden. I keep a pair of crocs on back door mat for popping out in garden and I like the Next ballet type of slipper for indoors. They have a soft sole and wash well and inexpensive and last a long time! However I am normally bare feet in the house in summer months as feet get too hot!! I have crocs for indoor wear or, I should say Lidl's version of the product! I find them comfortable and a good support for ageing joints.

The house looks very nice - no reason people wouldn't like it.

Culdesac Tempe has been welcoming residents since last year. The homeowner, Corrine Casanova, had bought the three-bedroom Baldwin Park bungalow with her husband in and now owned it outright. After raising three children there, she was days away from leaving it for an assisted living facility and had called the number on a HomeVestors ad. He calculated the profit he wanted to make and presented Casanova with a page purchase agreement during the short visit to her house. But Casanova was incapable of engaging in a complex negotiation. She routinely mistook her adult son for his uncle. HomeVestors cautions its franchisees never to take advantage of sellers who are unable to understand negotiations.
