The general public is not allowed to bring cell phones, personal communication devices, or electronic devices into the Judicial Center court building. The Circuit Court is the trial court of general jurisdiction with the authority to try both civil and criminal cases. The Circuit Court also has jurisdiction over divorce cases and adoptions. In criminal cases, the circuit court has jurisdiction over the trial of all felonies and of those misdemeanors originally charged in circuit court. The circuit court also hears appeals from the general district court in civil and criminal cases and from the juvenile and domestic relations district court. The Court currently provides a 90" display monitor, Wireless Barco Clickshare, and Document Camera in each courtroom that can be used for trial we do not run the equipment for you but will assist you with how to hook up to it if you schedule an appointment in advance. You will need to provide a laptop to connect to the equipment. To see how Clickshare works, please view this short video. It is highly recommended that you call or email to schedule a demo a week or so before your trial for instructions on how to hook up and run the equipment.
