Vinyl flooring at home depot
I am interested in using vinyl plank for a renovation over rolled vinyl flooring. I have done a bit of research. I have spent several hours online educating myself re vinyl plank "click"installation. All indications are positive for these materials.

Wear layers are described in "mils", they are actually using numbers that should be written in decimal terms, ie. Houzz Research.

What's under your feet or however you get around is as important as anything when it comes to home. That's why this fall, we collaborated with The Home Depot on an A to Z guide that'll give you the confidence to make flooring choices you'll love. Check out the A to Z handbook here. When it gets down to decision-making time, though, the single biggest factor for most people is budget. Vinyl might have a reputation for being cheap and flimsy, but this assumption belies the more modern versions on the market now.

The 5 mm goods from LL are impressive. Post by Ruger » Sun May 20, pm. When walking on it, it certainly doesn't compare to real solid hardwood, but is much warmer than the concrete and you wouldn't want hardwood in a basement anyways. The private labeler can choose to convert the specs into whatever format they want. Overall, it does take a bit of time and patience to get it installed well. Seems to be pretty durable but I've only had it for like five months. I am probably even more skeptical about Home Depot installers and I don't know of any installers myself. I think it repeats the same four patterns which isn't terrible, but to discerning buyers would be nicer if they increased that to six as that provides a lot more combinations of how you can lay it down. BBB etc. Probably some of their installers are not that experienced.

SirJohn 9 years ago. Installation is just cutting and snapping. When I've looked at their laminate samples, I've found at least four different manufacturers and again at least two were supposed to be the just different patterns in the same exact series , some were clearly better quality than others despite being the same price. Many Thanks Sir John an to all who contributed to this thread. I need help with the kitchen in my new apartment. Clarification, the wear layers are described in "mils", not mms. Houzz Pro: One simple solution for contractors and design pros. Mine is on concrete slab so I don't have experience with it on wood subfloor. Newest Oldest. I looked at a flooring store that carries armstrong, congoleum, mannington, free float, and more.
You are mistaken. Let's discuss it. Write to me in PM.
