Once you leave the opening area Tiltren in Medieval RPG Wartales, you can explore in two different directions, both of which have the same levels, four to six caps. I headed to Arthes before Vertruse but left before finishing, as some of the battles were tricky. However, once my party was around level six, I came back and finished it. As a fan of Wartales, I was excited to dive into its first major DLC which added a huge new region to explore. If you don't know how to start exploring the Belerion Archipelago, I suggest you read through my guide on how to get a ship in Wartales. If you are new to the region, also note that if playing region-locked the battles here are mostly tougher than Drombach. If you've struggled there, be ready for some very tough battles here too. Also, there is a pirate captain pecking order. If you rise to a high enough level, the next captain on the list will start to try and hunt you down.
