Better yet, the snow here was really grippy even in the afternoon , with a nice sugary top layer which sprayed up with every turn I made. From the top of Pla de les Pedres lift, take the blue Obac Solana run into Soldeu valley and take the Assaladores chairlift. Once at the bottom, there is a small draglift that takes you to a green run surrounded by trees that it is a shortcut to the Soldeu area from Grau Roig. The temperature has been mild at around 3 degrees so the cold breeze on the chairlifts was very much welcomed. Have a great Christmas! Our favourite run was the green slope Pista Escola, which has access through Coll Dels Isards chairlift. As if that wasn't enough, Friday offered another opportunity to carve through freshly fallen snow, as the snow dump had continued on. As the Christmas holidays are here, the resort has experienced a noticeable surge in tourists, bringing a livelier atmosphere to the slopes and towns. The conditions in Grandvalira are outstanding right now. This blue run is a beautiful path which takes you to a frozen lake which covers up with snow during winter and the view is just stunning. Today was another amazing day on the slopes, and there was even a couple of centimetres of snowfall throughout the day too. The temperature was slightly warmer at -1 degrees, so just a vest and long sleeved thermal under my jacket was plenty to keep me warm on the long chairlift rides. If you need a rest, there is also a restaurant where you can have a break or just enjoy the views! Though cold the sun is still shining As it's on the far side of the resort, this slope tends to be less crowded, ensuring a more relaxed run and better conditions throughout the day.
