Mountain Terrace is a gorgeous wedding venue located among the redwoods up in Woodside. With a charming patio lit by fairy lights at night and a expansive lawn ringed by towering redwoods, Mountain Terrace is the quintessential Northern California wedding venue! When I was at Stanford, we would often drive up the winding La Honda to get to Skyline to hike in the beautiful open space preserves in the area. The front looks quiet and unassuming, with just a lovely sign on top of what could be an office building. Off to the left, right as you enter the property are some oak trees that provide some shade as well as a fun rope swing! Most of the time, the reception is held outdoors on the patio. At night, the twinkle lights strung along the railings are lit, creating a magical environment! Catering: Done in-house. Accommodations can be made for special requests such as kosher, Chinese, Indian, etc. Standard package: The standard package includes 8 hours on site, generally from with the bride and groom choosing the ceremony and reception times.

My family had to run around managing the event and coordinating every little detail while the substitute coordinator was clueless and missed out on our requirements they gathered from me over the planning phase through multitude of ridiculous forms. If you're not prepared to do things their way, be prepared for a difficult planning experience. Mountain Terrace sent us a gift card and apology letter, but it didn't make up for the fact that someone lost a check, and then couldn't do math. Thanks for choosing The Mountain Terrace!
