Not because Blue-Eyes is my favorite card, but because the entire archetype's surprisingly versatile. I revisit the Blue-Eyes family pretty often, since something new almost always pops up for the strategy when a new set drops, even though it's one of the game's oldest boss monsters. Even though no new Blue-Eyes cards have debuted in recent sets, the deck still gets reinvented every time other cards come out. Since Blue-Eyes decks are really good at doing one thing, new cards that interact with its goals always offer an injection of fresh blood into the strategy. When your core game plan is just "big monsters that are easy to summon," your engine's going to fit into a lot of different strategies. I'm always looking for a way to play Blue-Eyes decks, but that's not the only thing I'm excited to play. Phantasmal Lord Ultimitl Bishbaalkin is an odd Synchro card that's never found a home for very long in competition.

Dragon Stone of White provides field control, banishing a Spell or Trap the opponent controls when this card is summoned, and can tribute itself as a Quick Effect to bring out a copy of Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Depending on what monsters were banished to summon this card, it can either Special Summon a monster from the GY, destroy two cards on the field, or shuffle a card from the opponent's hand back to the Deck. Additional support for the archetype comes with the monsters with Eyes of Blue --low leveled, low stat monsters that provide consistency to a Deck that might be prone to dead hands more often than not, all sharing the ability to Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Shay Obsidian. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster you control; send white eyes blue dragon deck Normal Monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, the targeted monster gains ATK and DEF equal to the Level of the monster sent to the Graveyard xuntil the end of this turn even if this card leaves the field.
