Dulux Weathershield Gloss - several reports of peeling off or bubbling and takes ages to dry Dulux Vinyl Matt - the white is ridiculously thick and so takes ages to thin down or use neat. For colours are better off using Gliddens etc - sometimes a non-trade paint will do fine if you are two coating over a similar colour. Dulux waterbased eggshell - Diamond and non- Diamond both good paints but glossy, probably cheap as good products elsewhere Dulux eggshell - very good, but amazingly expensive Dulux satinwood - very good, but Crown Satinwood is cheaper and exactly the same. Dulux Supermatt - Albany supercover is excellent Magnolia especially. Guess Crown Obliterating matt is also very good. Both probably cheaper Dusucks Metalsheild - Absolutely sad paint, as with Hammerite, go for Rustoleum and finish in half the time Dulux Diamond Satinwood - better than many waterbased satinwoods - but problems with adhesion to non-primed surfaces is annoying and Wickes Quick Drying Satinwood is excellent. It is worth going out of your way to get a can - it's almost up to the standards in terms of coverage as solvent based. Finish still not as smooth though. Creature of the Paint Lagoon , May 3, I forgot to add Dulux Quick drying primer easily outclassed by Crown Primer which is excellent. Wickes might do a good primer to as their acrylic, quick drying undercoat was superb interior and exterior use.

Of all the oil based options l like Crown Trade Satin Finish best, it's the best covering and nicest flow in my opinion. Log in or Sign up. Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood creates a mid-sheen satin finish, providing a subtle, attractive alternative to gloss. Its the best I've used so far, but still no flow, and poor finish. These days most of my work is local government and Crown and Macphersons Trade paints suit me to the ground, being naturely grey they cover a real treat. The trouble is most customers know dulux as a well known make and wont change also i do a lot of work for estates and insurance work and they insist on dulux but i will give it a go next time a job comes in with no perticular spec.

I will try their gloss etc. Thanks for that. I know it's better in most other respects, but all I'm bothered with at the moment is the long-term whiteness part. Dulux Quick Dry Satinwood creates a mid-sheen satin finish, providing a subtle, attractive alternative to gloss. I like it. I actually found the dulux trade oilbased satinwood to be great to put on, but started going yellow after 1 month, and really bad after 6 months.
The matchless phrase, is pleasant to me :)
