Having opened just last year, The Grounds has become a local hotspot and gathering place for live music, happy hour, breakfast, brunch, and dinner. The atmosphere is so chic and minimalistic; with trendy wooden and wrought iron decor, comfortable and varied seating options, and plants placed everywhere— I was truly impressed. I could have stayed there all day! The owners and staff must truly want to foster an environment where people feel welcome to just come and hang out while enjoying some good food because there are board games laid out for their guests to use if they please. I appreciate that they are not interested in a quick table turnover but rather a slow-paced and relaxing place for friends to gather in. Almost everything seems to be made in-house. I had a tofu bowl which was vegan and GF with a coffee and San Pellegrino. The tofu bowl was loaded with fresh greens, beets, apple, pickled carrots, quinoa with a delicious dressing, and marinated tofu. It was so tasty, satisfying, and filling.
