We are made possible by:. Hi, I have leaking tub valves and I want to replace the seats and washers. The valves come out from the tile wall and the stem cartridge is set well back into the wall. The problem is that the stem cartridges are round with 2 flat sides, so I can't get a socket on them. And there is no room to fit an open end wrench in there. Is there a special socket out there that fits this kind of cartridge? Or do I need to pull some tile off the wall to make a bigger hole to fit an open end wrench? Here's a pic: thanks!
