Street Profits, Judgment Day vs. LA Knight vs.
Find out the answer to those questions and more with this recap of a February 2 episode with plenty of implications for The Showcase of the Immortals. The Prizefighter emerged from the back and engaged his rival in a round of back-and-forth before Austin Theory entered the arena for his opening match against Owens. It was not a surprise by any means that Theory and Owens had a good match because both are quality in-ring competitors with long histories of delivering between the ropes. Theory controlled enough to retain his status as an upper-mid-card heel who can mix it up with any opponent while Owens fended off interference from Paul and Grayson Waller to pick up a hard-fought victory in which he outsmarted his heel opposition. He chased Paul to the back and stood tall among the people to close out a more-than-solid start to the show. Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate vs.

Find out with this recap of the latest blue brand episode, which also determined the latest entries into the Men's and Women's Elimination Chamber matches. Owens overcame an inadvertent distraction from an unexpected R-Truth at ringside and rolled late. Mysterio, reeling, ordered Truth to fetch him a chair, attempting to manipulate him by promising him a spot in The Judgment Day. Wise to the heel's game, Truth teased going along with the orders, only to sit down in the chair. Mysterio turned right into a pop-up powerbomb as Owens cashed his ticket to Perth. A solid wrestling match, enhanced by a red-hot crowd in Salt Lake City, Utah, and logical progression in the Truth-Judgment Day story made this a great start to what should be a seriously newsworthy show. Get me a chair! It remains to be seen but that may very well be the case after Tiffany Stratton defeated Zelina Vega to advance to the premium live event next Saturday. The match was solid but was overshadowed by the presence of Legado del Fantasma in the front row and the arrival of LWO to counter them. As the fight between Vega and Stratton spilled to the arena floor, Elektra Lopez talked trash with the former, leading to the one and only Queen of the Ring in WWE history pulling her over the guardrail and beating up on her. The distraction allowed Stratton to put her down with a spinebuster and add the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win. There was some solid action here, and Stratton continues to impress on the main roster, and even better, it intensified the ongoing rivalry between the two factions. It was a short, sweet reintroduction to one of the most dominant tag teams of the modern era as the creative team continues to heat The Final Testament up. Paul overcame a knee injury that was focused on throughout the match by his opponent to earn the victory but did not do it all by himself.

World heavyweight champion Seth "Freakin" Rollins and Cody Rhodes were nowhere to be found in the middle of the broadcast only to make an entrance and answer Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Roman Reigns' challenge. Verbal sparring led to a final crescendo of The Rock telling Cody Rhodes he's 20 years younger than his siblings because he's a mistake. He questioned The Rock's authority to determine the terms of a fight because The Great One acknowledged Reigns as his tribal chief. Rollins stepped in to shut The Rock up in turn, calling him "Mr. Midlife Crisis" and telling him his time has passed and they accept The Rock's terms. The Great One brought out the receipts, mentioning that he's part of the TKO board and ultimately their bosses before, to the crowd's amazement, he went on to call Rhodes a mistake. Rhodes responded with a slap to the face. The implications alone for WrestleMania gives this matchup a good grade but the slap is a cherry on top. The undisputed universal champion followed up the Legado del Fantasmo vs.

Afterwards, The Rock revealed career-altering stakes for Rhodes. If Rhodes loses to Reigns at WrestleMania 40, he will never be allowed to challenge for the undisputed WWE universal championship again. SmackDown developed many storylines throughout the show. SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis had a fleet of extra security on hand ahead of Friday's explosive meeting.

Drew capitalizes Hunter welcomes us to the show and says last night was an incredible kickoff event on the road to the grandest stage of them all, and at some point they took a hard left turn and now that road is on fire, but it feels really, really good. Mysterio, reeling, ordered Truth to fetch him a chair, attempting to manipulate him by promising him a spot in The Judgment Day. The Viper taking a breather before heading back inside, collar and elbow, Randy turns him around, hard rights, mounted punches, action to the floor, Zayn regains control with a back suplex into the announce desk and we go to break! The match featured nonstop action from all four teams, each getting an opportunity to shine en route to the British Strong Style tandem earning the win. The newcomer overshot her moonsault but it did not matter because her athleticism won the crowd over and had them counting along with the pin. Paul insulted Owens, telling him he smelled bad. There is no denying the electricity between The Rock and Reigns to end the show, but to book that ahead of a match—featuring your top babyface—that was a year in the making feels like a long-term creative misfire. The match never got underway, though, as a brawl broke out. Something went wrong. SmackDown pic. Backbreaker rack, Yim slips out, Eat Defeat, Belair rolls to the floor, Mia brings her back, calling for it, back body drop counters!

Orton hard out the gates, side headlock, shot off, drop down, leapfrog, Zayn passes him to the floor, goes for a dive, Randy takes a walk so Sami does an Arabian press fakeout! The action here was relentless. It was nice to see Triple H and the creative team pay off those previous backstage interactions between Lashley and B-Fab here, even if it feels a bit late. It would have been nice to see Fyre and partner Isla Dawn be built in some form or fashion so that fans had a reason to invest in the idea that it was any woman's match to win but even then, this was a successful return of Naomi, based both on the outcome and the quality of her performance. You can be the world's best No. It IS official. Email required. They have chemistry and, even with the tables turned and the roles reversed, that was on display here. To the apron, headed up top, Randy cuts him off, superplex for two! Drew McIntyre Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match McIntyre in with a chop and a punch, suplex lift, knee counters, Styles wades into the corner with chops, whip reversed, back elbow, AJ springboards into a crossbody, Drew catches him and turns it into a straight suplex! Bayley makes her entrance and gets on the mic. British Strong Style make their entrance and we go to break. Late in the match, his buddy, Jeff, introduced a pair of brass knuckles. Corey Graves officially announced the new SmackDown commentary team comprising of himself and Wade Barrett, the first time a former pro wrestler has filled the play-by-play role since Gorilla Monsoon.
