WrestleMania 38's first night was pretty tough to top. However, Day 2 of this year's Showcase of the Immortals still delivered a lot of fun, building up from the hype and excitement coming out of Day 1. After a heart-wrenching farewell speech by The Game, WrestleMania 38 Night 2 started off hot with a fantastic match between three great tag teams. The student of The Game and his new partner are set to defend their titles against two of the greatest tag teams WWE has ever seen, and the resulting match was a great opener for a night that has a very tough night to follow up on. The three teams were in sync the entire time, moving from spot to spot like a well-oiled machine. When the match went chaotic, the teams took the action ringside. Angelo Dawkins would put down most of the competitors outside, and, tagging in Montez Ford, hoped to finish off the competition with a Splash from the top rope on Randy Orton. Chad Gable also tries to capitulate, leaping off the top rope in hopes of finishing off Randy, only to be caught by Orton with an RKO out of nowhere for the pin. The post-match toast of the face teams was a nice touch, with Montez Ford inviting Gable Steveson to the ring to toast with them.

Morgan breaks up the pin. McAfee showed up and showed great poise. Heyman begging Lesnar to take him back was exactly what you expect from his slimy heel persona.

In the end, Reigns was able to outlast Lesnar in another of their typical hard-hitting matches, though one that didn't live up to the past clashes between the two men. McMahon ultimately got the victory but was embarrassed by his greatest rival when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin made an appearance for the second night in a row. Roman Reigns stands head and shoulders above the rest, getting a rare clean and decisive win over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Reigns has now unified the Universal and WWE Championship belts -- though they're sure to be split again soon -- and the key question is, what's next now that no one feels like legitimate competition? WrestleMania 38 Night 2 was, like Night 1 before it, an entertaining show. It wasn't what you'd call a great WrestleMania, as it lacked anything that could become a legendary moment, and it didn't feel like it was building to the future in any significant way. But it was a fun show, featuring some strong wrestling and memorable performances. It was grim, but led to a great segment involving Stone Cold Steve Austin doing his thing. Edge defeated A. The big surprise result was Ronda Rousey losing her match with Charlotte Flair, though in a way that sets up a return match. Lesnar is holding his ribs in pain from the two spears. After the match, Priest and Edge shared a laugh and posed together. The nastiest spot saw Styles Superplex Edge onto the ring apron. The Tribal Chief escaping the F-5 and delivering a Spear to win, seemingly out of nowhere, felt anticlimactic. The bonus is that even though Johnny Knoxville has been through incredible amounts of pain that far outweigh what is unfolding here, he's such a sympathetic character that you have to feel for him. Retrieved April 3, Gable takes it right back. Knoxville goes after Zayn, but Zayn stops him. When he turned around, Knoxville blew his face with a fire extinguisher. This prompted Sami to look for even more devastating weapons from under the ring, bringing out a table. The products discussed here were independently chosen by our editors. This match had the weakest build of anything on the two-night card and delivered as such, perhaps in an even more confusing manner than anticipated. Mat: New Day's outfits were great, paying homage to Big E. Theory gets up on the apron, and McAfee hits a shoulder tackle that sends Theory into the commentary table. Following the impromptu match, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin made a surprise appearance and performed a stunner on Theory. A bit of a disappointment, overall. This would also be the last WrestleMania to take place under Vince McMahon 's creative control, following his retirement on July 22; McMahon had served as chairman and chief executive officer of the company since and created WrestleMania in , and although he returned to the company as Executive Chairman on January 10, , he has no involvement in booking the event. The Tribal Chief escaping the F-5 and delivering a Spear to win, seemingly out of nowhere, felt anticlimactic. Now, we have a super beefy boy match before the uber-muscular Lashley and tall boy Omos. Lashley clubs Omos and goes for the Hurt Lock. And rest-assured, nobody still takes the stunner worse than Vince--and it's still as entertaining as it gets. Cause I'm not mad at it. McAfee angrily gets to his face, and McMahon looks worried.
