Sure, Xbox Series X and S are two entirely different consoles with different internal components and capabilities, but we still think there's room for allowing Series S users to attach a disc drive. Microsoft's aim may well be to get Series S owners using Game Pass primarily, but a drive add-on would prove a consumer friendly option - and it'd be great for Xbox backwards compatibility too. But, we want to hear what you folks think. Xbox Series S users, would you consider buying an external disc drive for your console? What would the price point have to be for you to consider picking one up? We could see such an accessory being quite popular, especially with how much cheaper Xbox Series S is compared to Series X. You'd imagine a Series S combined with an external drive would still be considerably cheaper than buying a Series X upfront, and it'd be a great option for those on a budget. No, the console is design for only play digital games. Discs are basically just physical licence keys these days, so maybe? I don't know how I missed it.
