Those who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayers, and donate from what We have provided for them. And those who believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and are certain of the Hereafter. These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful.

To you is the destiny. Whoever, on receiving advice from his Lord, refrains, may keep his past earnings, and his case rests with Allah.

A major theme is guidance: urging the pagans Al-Mushrikeen and the Jews of Medina to embrace Islam , and warning them and the hypocrites Munafiqun of the fate God had visited in the past on those who failed to heed his call. Al-Baqara is believed by Muslims to have been revealed in in Medina over a long period after the Hijrah , with the exception of the riba verses which Muslims believe were revealed during the Farewell Pilgrimage , the last Hajj of Muhammad. Following the muqatta'at , Al-Baqara begins with the declaration that the Quran is free of doubt and contains guidance for those who possess taqwa. There follows a description of the kafirs and munafiqs. The first of these verses uses the word kafir to describe one who conceals the truth, and Muhammad is advised that they will not believe despite his efforts because God has sealed their hearts and hearing, and covered their eyes so that they will not be able to see, hear, or comprehend guidance , and that they will be punished with a great torment. It is said that they try to deceive God and the mumins believers but they deceive themselves without perception, that in their hearts is a disease which God increases, and that they will be punished with a painful torment. To the believers they say they believe, but when they go back to their devils, they tell confess their disbelief, but they do not know that God deceives them and increases their deviation.

But Allah knows the wrongdoers. Allah does not guide the disbelieving people. They are a garment for you, and you are a garment for them. Safety starts with understanding how developers collect and share your data. Those who know that they will meet their Lord, and that to Him they will return. But if you keep it secret, and give it to the needy in private, that is better for you. And fear Allah, and know that you will meet Him. And when We gave Moses the Scripture and the Criterion, so perhaps you would be guided. But to fast is better for you, if you only knew. And do not think it unimportant to write down, whether small or large, including the time of repayment. We have revealed to you clear Verses, and none reject them except the sinners. No mother shall be harmed on account of her child, nor shall a father be harmed on account of his child. And thank Me, and never be ungrateful.

These: I will accept their repentance. The Originator of the heavens and the earth. Fighting is ordained for you, even though you hate it. O, people! For them is disgrace in this world, and for them is a tremendous punishment in the Hereafter. Then We pardoned you after that: so perhaps you would be thankful. Whatever charity you give, or a pledge you fulfill, Allah knows it. Then complete the fast until nightfall. Have you not considered him who argued with Abraham about his Lord, because Allah had given him sovereignty? But here you are, killing your own, and expelling a group of your own from their homes—conspiring against them in wrongdoing and hostility.
