We're going to need this for another puzzle on the floor below. Just carry the gear, go outside, then turn left, and throw it downstairs. Grab the nearby gear resting on a pipe just outside the Flow Machine room and throw it downstairs as well. Go down the stairs and we'll solve the next puzzle to get this Elevator running! Take the two gears you just threw and then throw them into the next room. You'll see a barrel and a box. Behind them is another orange gear hiding. Grab it and put it in the middle of the room with the two other gears you got.
There's also a pipe by the table.

As you enter, walk forward and enter the first room on the right the door is already opened. In the back right of this room, you can find a Tinderbox sitting on top of a crate. Directly to the left of this crate, you can find another Tinderbox behind the smaller crate on the floor. After listening to the diary, head over to the wall where the levers are located. You'll notice each lever has a numeral above it and below it; the goal is to get a total of 8 on the top and 8 on the bottom. After achieving this stable flow, exit the room, head down the nearby stairs, and enter the first room on the left. In the back right corner of this room, open up the large chest and grab the two Tinderboxes inside.
