Ariens snow blower reviews
We recently bought a new snowblower, and it has been used several times, so here is a review for anyone interested. This model is 24 inches wide, has two stages, and a cc Tecumseh ohv engine. The two wheels, with snow tires, are engine driven. It has both electric start plug in, no battery and a manual pull cord. We have feet of sidewalk, here in the city, but the real reason for buying an expensive snowblower is that the city snowplows routinely leave a windrow of compressed snow and ice at the foot of the driveway, about 4 feet wide, and up to 20 inches deep. I am happy to report that the Ariens went right through the windrow of compressed snow, and also went through three foot high piles of snow left by the snowplow at the end of the sidewalk. This machine is rather large, heavy, and awkward to maneuver. Sort of like driving a truck. But it starts on the first pull. I have yet to use the electric start feature. It does the job, and I am happy with it. The Tecumseh Snow-King engine starts on the first pull after priming the bulb 3 times. I only used the electric start once when I first purchased it, just to make sure it worked in case I needed it. However, I still worry about getting parts for the engine if I ever need them, since Tecumseh closed shop.

Excellent choice for your typical suburban 2-car driveway. An impressive This is a considerable upgrade over the cc engine found in their compact inch model. As a 4-cycle, this does not require mixing gas and oil like the old days. Note that the engine runs a bit on the loud side. LCT makes high quality motors that will hold up for a long time.

This isn't a dig on other great brands out there like Honda, Toro, Yamaha ect but in my opinion Ariens has the winning combo of power, performance, usability and well built machines that puts them above the rest in my opinion. What Stands Out It's a powerful snow blower with a large clearing width. We still have Harley Davidson, Kohler, Evinrude, and Ariens, but there have been great losses, including much of the paper industry located in the Fox River Valley. We also found it challenging to direct the snow anywhere but straight, requiring us to shovel with a more rigid approach. They really do a great job in my area keeping the streets plowed. How does that affect the light? Sort of like driving a truck. Jump to a Section. I just purchased a used Husqavarna snowblower -STE and I do not know what size this snow blower is We also appreciate the included ice scraper —although the chute hasn't gotten clogged yet, the scraper will be handy in clearing out ice and snow from the chute once the machine is turned off.
But for the rest of us, it comes with the added headache of constantly trying to clear out the yard and driveway off all the extra blankets of snow. And by tool, I mean snow blower. However, with so many blower models in the market today, it can indeed be difficult to pick the one that can fit your needs and snow conditions the best.
Manufacturers commonly warrant residential-use snow blowers for two years for single-stage machines, or three years for two-stage and three-stage machines. Ariens snowblower review-STE. We recommend spending the money on such a product if you wish to scoop as much snow off surfaces as possible, since two-stage models have adjustable skid plate heights. My issue is when I have my snow gloves on. Ariens sells a heated hand grip kit that fits their Compact and Deluxe models.
