It shakes when one is hiding nearby. It's a rather rare find. It helps Link to find many of the hidden Koroks scattered across the land of Hyrule. If Link is in close proximity to a Korok, the mask will begin to rattle and shake, whilst also emitting particle effects, similar in appearance to the Koroks' fairy lights. It is the only piece of DLC equipment to have a unique function as all other items exclusive to DLC re-use existing abilities. This mask can be found in the southern area of the Lost Woods. Be sure to check our Breath of the Wild Interactive Map for a more precise location.

Playing it through will take you to the Korok Mask location , a new item that signals when a Korok Seed is located nearby - pretty handy for completionists. Or, if you're after help for the main game itself, consult our Zelda: Breath of the Wild walkthrough and guide. It'll tell you "the treasure chest containing this mask is hidden in a tree hollow in a forest that makes people lose their way". Sound familiar? Head to the Lost Woods, which is just north west from here if you activate the Woodland Tower, it's then directly north. If you have already discovered Korok Forest then you'll need to recreate the first few steps of exploring the Lost Woods, following the lanterns and the direction the fire is blowing until you reach two lanterns side-by-side, with a torch leaning up against one of them. If you are headed to Korok Forest, then you'll light the torch and follow the way the fire blows to guide you through, however here we're going to take a small diversion to find the chest. In short, simply go south of these two lanterns, keeping the tree line on your left, headed towards the body of water. Just before you get there is a particularly large tree, that's hollowed out with a purple EX chest inside. Want more help? When worn, this mask acts like your sheiklah slate does for shrines, but for koroks. To quickest to get to the Lost Woods is from Woodland Tower. Of course, once you get to the top of Woodland Tower, you realize that there is a giant stone skull obscuring the top of the tower, making it impossible to glide into the woods from there. To get there, go on the beaten path toward the woods until you reach this cliff, and then head to the Lost Woods in the distance. Enter the Lost Woods as you normally would, and follow the flames until you see two flames on pillars next to each other. Pick up the torch sitting next to one of the pillars, and light it. Stand still and watch how the wind blows the flame on your torch.
