Armando Ruis Salinas , a. Born sometime in , Armando was a Mexican national who was forced to sleep on the floor as a child due to his family's poverty, leaving him with a deep desire for his own bed and home, which he confided in his half-brother and colleague Ruben Garcia. He was arrested and imprisoned for an unknown amount of time for various cases of burglary and assault. After being released, Armando moved to California with Ruben to work on the farms, and the two joined several others to form a "cuadrilla", a group of migrant workers. On August 25, , due to his drug habits, inability to get along with others, and also a general dislike of work, Armando was kicked out of the group by Ruben after costing them a big job in Tehachapi, causing him to snap. Two days later, he found the home of Mildred Younce, an elderly woman who gave food to hobos in exchange for doing odd jobs.

We open with a train whistle. We see that he wears a baseball hat and is carrying a lot of luggage. We watch him walk along the train tracks and approach a house. We watch him… huff something??? We switch back to his POV, we watch him walk past dead bodies, the bodies of the people who owned this house who he clearly killed.

If a person gets close to him, he or she will notice him and describe him as smelling "like a combination of human filth and paint thinner". Goofs All of the passengers' clothes on their IDs are the same clothes they're wearing on the train. Maybe transference. Fleeing to a nearby rail yard, Armando boards a boxcar and, when a railroad police officer climbs in to look for him, Armando kills him with a rail spike. We see that he wears a baseball hat and is carrying a lot of luggage. However, Reid plays the most interesting character in the whole episode and Matthew Gray Gubler is truly exceptional. Garcia also highlights one specific team of migrant workers whose labor path seems to mimic that of the unsubs, they are called cuadrillas. The BAU discuss these two types, and neither really seems to fit. We see him break into a house and kill another couple.

He was eventually caught and executed in All he ever talked about was having a house of his own. What a shame that the actual case brings the episode down in such a big way. The BAU are well-used and work well with nobody out of character or useless, their scenes are actually both much more memorable and much better executed than the case itself.
