I currently use the older EV Eliminators, I recently upgraded my system and bought some EV Eliminators which I found out they where actually Elimnator i Series, shich look slightly different, same basic design only difference is the way the grills are inset on i Series and wrape around the front corners on the regulars. I have never had any problems with these subs, only thing was the used ones I purchased had a couple of loose bolts on the speaker, they only use 4 bolts to hold the sub to the baffle in blind nuts, because of the speaker mounting angle I suppose.

However I can't find a pair of these for love nor money, and they've been discontinued, I've been toying with the idea of having some built, but I cant get the plans from anywhere, no joy from Logic at the moment, I have the dimensions and front view specs etc as in the link above, but no internal plans. Anyway as I cant seem to get hold of these would these EV's do the job, they are the exact dimensions I'm looking for, I know I'll have to upgrade the drivers, but apart from that , would these cabs do the same job as the Logics, or do I try and find a cab builder and see if they can try and clone the Logics from the specs I have??????????

Ev eliminator

I did a search but got no definative information on EV ELiminator 15's with a horn. What is the general concensus on this series of speakers, and any users that could report on them would be a bonus I also wouldn't consider them entry-level speakers. I haven't used them in anything other than a bar yet, but I have no doubt they could handle a person room. Coaster, I am interested to hear what issues you've had with driving or overdriving them or any other issues for that matter. Maybe I should be driving mine a bit differently. I have 2 pair that I use on smaller gigs. I have had no serious issues with them for the most part. I think I had to resolder some connections on the x-over I think. I like the sound of them.

Selecting either "Yes" or "No" for each "Was this review helpful? They can also make a good drum monitor or sidefills on some stages. Overall nothing earth shattering, but good solid cabs.

Well my system is biamped using driverack to crossover , I have a 15" and a 2" cd as mid tops and 2 x 15" push pull on the bass, the full system should have an 18 sub on each side aswell linked to the push pull still in bi amp mode, hence the question re. Never was a truer word written than in the case of this particular 6th order bandpass box. It was obviously engineered for efficiency at kick frequencies with a woofer not really suited to a linear 6th order bandpass response. So the bandwidth is HZ minus 3db.
