However, I happen to have a pair of the basic set cars rwd sidewinder, magnatraction, no lights, cosmetically battered , which I've just tried out on a friend's large, but very bumpy, Classic Scalextric layout. I have to admit that after the first couple of laps I thought they were turkeys. However, once I'd become accustomed to their quirks, and dialed the volts back a tad, they became quite fun, if not exactly fast. I think they deserve a little effort to mitigate some of their more basic faults. Prior to testing, they'd both been dismantled, cleaned and lubed, with new rubber rear tyres fitted, but not yet trued. The motors go well but, as noted elsewhere, appear to be full of steel filings, which I need to deal with. After driving them as standard, they appear to have 2 major issues, both CG related.

De momento empiezo con Scalextric en su epoca Tecnitoys y si la idea es bien acogida por todos vosotros, pues seguir con el resto de marcas y variantes. Incluso podria llegar a "enchinchetarse" Scalextric - Tecnitoys Ref. Se echa de menos tener foto de cada uno solito. A ver si nos ponemos en ello y lo hacemos. Matizar que algunos coches como los de Monza, X-Treme, World Series aunque iban en circuito, han salido con referencia y caja. Es una pregunta solo tecnica porque usais hojas de excel en lugar de hacer una base de datos en Acces donde puede ponerse incluso una foto.

I have no problem with the idea of buying better bits although the question then arises as to whether the money would be better spent on a better car in the first place , but my budget is, effectively, zero.
