I've been watching Levy's journey for a while and I'm confused: he has ELO in blitz, higher than many grandmasters, yet he still is only an IM, gotham chess elo. Does he go to FIDE tournaments often?

I despise those who want to play gambits as white, but avoid 1. I like his streams but talking too fast, so it makes things less learnable for me.
