Cristina and Owen's relationship issues took center stage in therapy during the series' yearly Private Practice crossover "event". It was during the rather uncomfortable therapy sessions that dominated the hour for Cristina and Owen, who have been off-kilter as a couple since she had an abortion in the season 8 premiere. The moment came after the couple fought for what seemed like hours but was really probably only one very intense one-hour session with the therapist that was spliced throughout the entire episode. Again, the topic was, unshockingly: the abortion. But really, the fight was about them not being on the same page, being totally out-of-sync with each other. Be my person, Owen! It should be. But, really, is there a compromise when it comes to children? Half a child? A part-time child? A child that only one of them cares for? Hell, yes! That being said, the arguments on both sides make perfect sense. Honestly, it sort of made me have flashbacks to those dark days when Meredith was constantly sitting in therapy sessions.
