Most viewers can recognize that Inosuke bears a great deal of similarity to Kanroji Mitsuri and carry on speculations that Inosuke is the illegitimate child of Mitsuri. In the manga, these speculations increase when Mitsuri mentions that she had a child during a conversation with Shinazugawa Sanemi. Inosuke was not adopted by anyone. Instead, he was raised by a wild boar in the forests of Mt. Akiba and did not have direct contact with humans until he left the mountain. He had only the basic instincts that were taught to him by the boar, and had no knowledge of humans or civilization.
