Excellent location overall for sightseeing, recreation, dining and getting around.

The inn sits adjacent to the Anne of Green Gables House and just a half hour drive from Charlottetown making it a great home base for exploring the island. While it is not oceanfront, there is a pathway leading straight to the Lake of Shining Waters. The first decision you have to make when planning a trip to Prince Edward Island PEI is where you want to set up your home base. After thorough research, we decided on Cavendish, which has a central location on the northern coast. It is a family friendly area with endless activities for kids of all ages as well as easy access to the National Park and beaches. Cavendish is only a 45 minute drive from the bridge and the central location makes day-tripping in either direction quite easy. Kindred Spirits is what Anne with an E, of course called her friends.

Kindred Spirits, one of the most sought-after Hocking Hills restaurants, provides a casual fine-dining experience offering superb gourmet meals. Also, we feature a three seasons-enclosed patio dining area. Food is extraordinaire with a casual atmosphere. Offering cooked-to-order cuisine, guests can watch their meals being prepared before them in the open kitchen. Kindred Spirits is open daily for breakfast, seasonally for lunch, and nightly for dinner. We are open to the public but highly recommend a reservation for breakfast and dinner as we fill up very quickly in our intimate dining space. We will be closed for dinner on Tuesday nights November through May Each season, the Inn presents a new menu. The Inn prides itself in choosing only the best ingredients, so the menu changes seasonally. Dinner guests may arrive prior to dinner to enjoy an early glass of wine or a mug of cold beer while chatting in the fireside lounge or rooftop garden.
