Lego pick a brick wall

But unfortunately, LEGO offers so many bricks in various shapes and colors that only a fraction of them can be offered in the Pick a Brick walls PaB walls.

Has anyone had any experience purchasing in bulk from a LEGO store? I'm interested in purchasing a large quantity of elements - way more than a standard cup. Anyone have information on pricing, etc? I have bought a "K box" from my local lego store. It's just the boxes that they use to stock the pick-a-brick wall.

The parts are in large bins hanging on a wall, and you can buy whatever you need from the wall in whatever quantities you need. In other cities, AFOLs take on the responsibility as their time allows, so it could be months or more between updates. BrickBuildr takes a different approach to presenting the list of stores.

It seems like a good group of people. Is it basically the same selection as the PaB online?
