I'm 5'10" lbs and this pack the large size fits very well. I had 42 lbs of gear and it carried the weight extremely well. It stayed securely on my back and didn't rub or shift around a lot. I'm not exactly organized with loading weight into my bag. I usually just throw everything in. I didn't have a problem with it leaning or not being balanced on my back. All the straps are fully adjustable and easy to adjust on the move.
