Luffys dream

In the world of One Piece , few things are more powerful than an individual with a clearly defined goal. Throughout its many narrative arcs, the series repeatedly demonstrates this phenomenon, beginning in its very first episode when Monkey D. Luffy defeats Alvida and loudly proclaims that he will be the next King of the Pirates. As Luffy adds talented individuals to his crew, each new member is pursuing a specific objective that fuels their ambition. As a result, One Piece 's protagonist surrounds himself with a group of dreamers who each hope to accomplish something truly special. However, as One Piece continues, it becomes increasingly clear that Luffy's lifelong dream might not be as simple as it seems. Although Luffy's goal of becoming the next King of the Pirates is obviously extremely important to him, One Piece makes sure that it's clear that the lovable pirate's biggest dream is something else entirely. From the very start of his journey, Luffy makes it painfully clear that he plans to conquer the Grand Line, and as the series' protagonist earns a name for himself, the series draws numerous parallels between him and the former King of the Pirates, Gol D. It isn't until Episode that One Piece actually hints that obtaining this title may not be Luffy's biggest dream. While Luffy's immediate goal is to find the One Piece treasure and be recognized as the new Pirate King, the manga has recently revealed that this is only a means to something else that remains secret, but One Piece Film: RED just dropped a huge hint on what Luffy's real dream is. Since the very first chapter of One Piece , Luffy declared his intention to become the Pirate King, a title that belonged to only one man, Gol D. To achieve that, Luffy has to explore the Grand Line, collect the Road Poneglyphs, and find the final, hidden island of Laugh Tale, where Roger's legendary treasure, the One Piece, lies. Luffy is not interested in the prestige or the power that come with the title of Pirate King, but in the freedom it entails: " the one who is the most free is the Pirate King ". However, in chapter of One Piece , Eiichiro Oda shocked his readers, revealing that being the Pirate King is not Luffy's real dream.

Monkey D. Luffy is the protagonist of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece. With time, Luffy established a powerful crew and went on to make quite a name for himself. He became the strongest pirate in the East Blue shortly after setting out on his journey and then immediately headed to the Grand Line. There, Luffy learned about the toughness of the sea and grew even further. In the New World, things have worked out for him pretty similarly and he has, currently, established himself as one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. When it comes to finding the One Piece, Luffy is, without a doubt, the man closest to it, having three of the four Road Poneglyphs. While one would assume that Luffy is extremely close to achieving his dream, that's not entirely the case.
