If the G10 provides maximum forgiveness then what do you call an iron that provides even more forgiveness? PING calls it the Ping g15
The Ping G15 Irons are certainly a case of evolution not revolution and Ping have not forgotten the traits that made the G10 irons so appealing to so many people. We liked the G10 irons and we were hopeful that the G15 irons would be even better. In our tests the G15 irons were a delight to hit. They were very forgiving right across the face and the full cavity graphics badge did its job in enhancing the feel and sound of the club at impact. For mid to high handicappers these clubs are ideal and are available in sets from 3 iron through to sand wedge. I borrowed my father's G 15 orange dot graphite soft regular shaft irons today.

With a club as easy to hit as the G15 hybrid, why fight a difficult long iron? The new G15 hybrid offers great distance, incredible forgiveness, and loads of versatility in a new package. PING has been a major innovator in the industry for quite a while. Up until this point, my experience with PING clubs had been limited to their drivers and putters. Though I never pulled the trigger on it, the Rapture V2 was in my opinion one of the best drivers I had ever hit. Normally, hybrids fit in great with this demographic, though there are always golfers who want to play long irons over the hybrid counterparts. Instead, think of this hybrid as being more like a driving iron, similar to the hybrids made popular by Adams. The intention of this design is to make the player set up to hit this hybrid the same way they would with a regular iron. Perimeter weighting is provided by a large internal toe pad in order to provide forgiveness and assists in locating the center of gravity low and close to the face for a high launch and low spin. In fact, PING is calling the G15 their longest and most forgiving hybrid to date, thanks to the previously mentioned toe pad. Esthetics Again, the G15 hybrid looks much like a driving iron, but with a shortened, curving black head. The head design is very much a departure from its previous-generation, fairway wood-inspired G10 counterpart. The thickness of the face is immediately visible, as a couple of millimeters of grey steel face extend at the crown. The sole is mostly flat and clean, with the weight pads, the signature PING logo, the loft of the club, and the G15 stamping all in the red and black common to the G15 line being the only markings visible on the polished sole. Looking down at the hybrid at address, the club maintains a clean appearance, though the offset may throw you for a loop.
With continued practice using short irons, I am seeing gradually longer and straighter distances and expect this issue to disappear, ping g15.
Every year it seems like one company after another hypes up the release of their new driver yet to the point almost no one even listens anymore. Because every year so many of them fall short of their promises and claims. Of course every company is going to try and hype their product…we get it…that is what sells clubs. But we are out to have the most informed golf blog on the planet. So…if it is good we will tell you it is good and if it is bad we will tell you just how bad it really is.
The PING G15 irons are ideal for anyone looking for top-quality game-improving irons that will aid their progression. The large heads produce a penetrating flight, particularly compared with many game-improvement irons, which tend to hit the ball very high, but lose distance. While the thick sole undoubtedly helps get the ball up and away, we found that this made them quite hard to hit from tight lies. Seven grams of weight have been removed from the tuning port in the back of the head of the PING G15 irons and repositioned to help provide high launch and optimal spin. The face is thinner than previous models and weight is added to the toe of the head for more stability and forgiveness. The PING G15s should suit golfers who want high-quality game-improving irons, need to gain more accuracy and distance, and prefer large, confidence-inspiring heads.

Payment will be collected in full upon placement of order. So easy to replace and a perfect replacement. I didn't realize how much I missed having this club in my bag. Finding replacement irons on an older set is never easy. Morton works directly with ping to get brand new old stock clubs. It was always difficult to find individual irons for my older set online. In comes Morton Golf and for an excellent value I was able to get a brand new replacement iron. Definitely recommend. Good quality and great value.

The weight savings of a thinner face allowed the engineers move weight to the perimeter — particularly the toe — to improve forgiveness for off-center hits as well as increase MOI. Maybe next spring. Good strikes with the G15 irons are rewarded with a soaring ball flight and ample distance, off center strikes are also rewarded with a minimal drop off in distance, in fact I've looked at my club several times expecting a mark in the center of the face, only to find it towards the toe or heel! The G15 hits high and usually lands soft on the green, but I also notice some odd little hops at times, possibly due to the changed grooves. PING believes that these changes provide the proper structure and support to ensure distance control and solid feel. I can stare at those pictures as long as I can spare time. I have the G15 hyrbrids in 20, 23,and I am however, very pleased with the My new measurements called for 1. I have been playing the G15 irons for a couple of months and enjoy them more with each round. Then hit a Considering they have replaced the magnificent G10s this is no mean feat from the Ping engineers. Alex Little 14 years ago. I dare you not to try these clubs then. I suspect you all already know this.
While the looks follow the G-series tradition, there are some big changes. It produces a higher-pitched impact noise and there were improvements in forgiveness levels. I can hit these things with my eyes closed and they will go towards the target. I bought the 17 degree but can only manage it off the tee, though it goes straight approx yards, so useful on narrow fairways. The first time I hit it, I knew it was the one, even before the fitter told me that was the best drive of the session. Shots fly high and straight. I took the G15 7 iron onto the driving range and could not belive the difference. How is the bounce on the irons? Shots hit thin with the G15 had a loss of yards. Hopefully someone can reply here in the comments and give you a good comparison though. John Roethel. Our mission is ConsumerFirst. What is the trade-off between a shell hybrid and a driving iron hybrid? Despite my praise for the G15s, I will not be putting them in my own bag. I just wanted to say that as a golfer on a budget, this was right in my price range.
I apologise, but, in my opinion, you are mistaken. Write to me in PM, we will discuss.
